# Campaign limits

> What counts toward your plan's limit, and what happens when you reach it.

Each plan sets how many campaigns you can have. The Free plan allows one; paid plans are unlimited.

## What counts

Every discount this app has created counts once, whatever its status: active, scheduled and expired discounts all count. Discounts created in the Shopify admin or by other apps do not count.

A discount that holds several campaigns, or a [unified discount](https://codebeans-discount-engine-pro.mintlify.site/campaigns/unified-discount.md) that covers products, the order and shipping, still counts as one.

## At the limit

When you reach the limit, the Manage page shows a **Campaign limit reached** banner with a **View plans** button.

* Your existing campaigns keep working and can still be edited.
* Creating a new campaign, or importing one, is refused with a message naming your plan and its limit.
* Cart Transform operations and Discount Manager rules are not campaigns and do not count.

To make room, delete a campaign you no longer need (see [Deleting a campaign](https://codebeans-discount-engine-pro.mintlify.site/managing/deleting.md)), or upgrade (see [Choosing a plan](https://codebeans-discount-engine-pro.mintlify.site/plans/choosing-a-plan.md)).

> [!NOTE]
>
> If the app can't confirm your plan or count your campaigns, nothing is blocked.
