# Campaign types

> Conditional, Buy X Get Y, BOGO, bundle and volume discounts.

After choosing a [discount class](https://codebeans-discount-engine-pro.mintlify.site/campaigns/discount-classes.md), pick the campaign type that matches your offer.

| Type | How it works |
| - | - |
| **Conditional Discount** | Applies a discount whenever the conditions you specify are met. The most flexible type, and the starting point when nothing else fits. |
| **Buy X Get Y Discounted (BXGY)** | The shopper buys a certain number of items and receives different items at a discount. |
| **Buy One Get One (BOGO)** | The shopper buys a quantity of an item and receives a discounted item. The cheapest eligible items are discounted first. |
| **Bundle Discount** | A specific combination of items must be in the cart; complete bundle sets are discounted. |
| **Volume Discount** | Quantity tiers, where buying more increases the discount. |

> The campaign name is optional and is never shown to customers. It only helps you find the campaign later.

## Several campaigns in one discount

One discount can hold several campaigns. The campaign list in the form's side panel shows them; use **Add new** to add another, and the row menu to **Edit**, **Duplicate**, **Move up**, **Move down** or **Delete** one. The campaign you are editing is marked **Editing**.

When more than one campaign in the same discount could apply, the **Discount application strategy** decides what happens. See [Combinations and strategy](https://codebeans-discount-engine-pro.mintlify.site/campaigns/combinations.md).

## Standard and advance input

The **Function input** setting in the side panel offers two modes:

* **Standard input** covers the common fields.
* **Advance input** adds product tags, collections and cart attributes for more complex rules. It is required for **Dynamic Price**.

Switching to advance input changes which [qualifiers](https://codebeans-discount-engine-pro.mintlify.site/campaigns/qualifiers.md) are offered.

> You can't change the input type after the discount is created. To use the other mode, create a new discount.

>
> **Bundle Discount** discounts a combination of items the shopper adds separately. To merge items into a single bundle line in the cart, use [Cart Transform](https://codebeans-discount-engine-pro.mintlify.site/more-functions/cart-transform.md) instead.
